Comment

Interpretation of a traditional tansutansu
Japanese chest, generally speaking piece of furniture for a storage purpose

by one of our craftsmen-suppliers.

Glossy green finish (mirror effect). Green is one of the base colors in Japanese art, but is usually less used as a lacquer than black or red. Interesting colour change when the sun shines, or surrounding objects reflect.

The grey glossy / patina finish hardware stands out on the green lacquer, bringing refinment and originality.

Each drawer is adjusted individually to allow maximum air tightness (important in Japan where humidity is high, to protect precious kimonokimono
Traditional Japanese clothing
).

The secret storage and its kirikiri
Paulownia, little density wood, often used in Japan for its good mechanical properties

box are a nice feature, highlighting the Japanese concern for details.

All drawers can be locked (one key).
